This fourth and final study will tie all the sessions together reaching the culmination of God’s purpose with the earth: To fill it with his Glory!

Habakkuk 2:14 says, “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea“.

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: Romans 15:8
Abraham was promised LAND!
And I [God] will give unto thee [Abraham], and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. Genesis 17:8
Jesus taught that the Patriarchs WILL go into the Kingdom of God on earth. That others (particularly the religious rulers of his day) would see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob receive the promise then.
There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. Luke 13:28-29
The earth promised to the faithful
This has been the consistent teaching of the Bible – both Old and New Testaments.
“For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.” Psalm 37:9
“But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.” Psalm 37:11
“For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth…” Psalm 37:22
“But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.” Numbers 14:21
“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5
“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10
The Promise to Abraham’s seed was referring PRIMARILY to Jesus Christ!
“For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.” Genesis 13:15
“Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.” Galatians 3:16
The covenants of promise – recap
➢ Edenic
➢ Noahic
➢ Abrahamic
➢ Israelite (Isaac, Jacob/Israel, The Natural Jews)
➢ Davidic
➢ Messianic (Jesus Christ is the fulfilment of all these promises)
How can this relate to you and me?
Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh . . . That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:11-13
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ… And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:26-29
The love of God shown in the Son of promise
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18
The victory over death through Jesus
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality… then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin… But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:53-57
The glorious future
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that it athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Revelation 21:4-7
Jesus is coming back!
“Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven”. Acts 1:11
Conclusion
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely…
He which testifieth these things [Jesus] saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen.
Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
Revelation 22:17-21
